Welcome to the Alex Abuyuan Children's Mission. Our purpose is to support the cause of orphan children in the Philippines. Back in 2004 Alex Abuyuan had a chance to visit his families' birthland for the first time in his life. It was there he understood the plight of children abandoned by their parents to the care of the municipalities and faith based organizations due to their inability to feed them. It was then he decided to make a difference.

November 2013 Update - Typhoon Haiyan

The devastation due to the Typhoon cannot be put into words. In Ormoc City, the lsland of Leyte was the first island hit. While not in Tacloban that was the worst hit, Ormoc was still wiped out with homes literally no longer existing and people instantly homeless. Please help. We still have no communication and can only watch the videos on youtube. Please donate whatever you can and rest assured that 100% will go to the Ormoc homeless, especially to feed the orphans whom I support. Please give. Thank you and may God bless you and your family. When you wake up on the steps of the Church, parents no where to be found . . .

The despair of parents, thinking that they can no longer care for their children, leave them at the doorstep of the church, praying that the church will feed them - the scene is too unbearable to even imagine. But this happens every day in the Philippines where the poverty is pervasive and so cruel.

So in an apparent act of love, the child is left alone, their world forever changed. No one can describe the feeling of abandonment. In God's mercy lies the beauty of His plan. Because the many faith based orgnizations that exist to care for and love these children, allows us to be Christ's hands and feet here in this temporary world.

This Foundation exists to support these organizations financially and through prayer. While we cannot be on the front lines, we can provide monetary support to keep these organizations operating. We also can pray pray pray for these wonderful volunteers and emmisaries of Christ's love.

Think about it. A donation of $5 US can feed a child in the Philippines for a week; can provide clothing and schooling. For what you might spend on a Big Mac meal at McDonald's can make a difference in a child's life. To be left behind by your mother and father is a feeling that will probably not go away to soon, but the love that Christ can give through your support will make all the difference in a child's life. Please give. And if you cannot give financially, please pray for them and pray for us that we are able to get the word out to raise the much needed financial support to keep God's work alive.

Thank you for your kindness,

WALK IN THAT CONFESSION AND THAT PROTECTION, IN JESUS’ NAME.

Parable of the Widow’s Mites

38 As he taught, Jesus said, “Watch out for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and be greeted in the marketplaces, 39and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets. 40They devour widows’ houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. Such men will be punished most severely.”

41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny.

43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”

Mark 12:38-44
